Here are some answers to my most frequently asked questions:
Start your vacation early by booking it with me. Planning a vacation should be fun, not stressful. When using a travel advisor, like myself, you are putting the fun back in your trip because I take care of all the time consuming details and you get to relax, while still controlling all the shots! When you book your vacation through me, you are getting personalized service before, during, and after your vacation. A lot can go into planning a vacation but I keep track of it all. From payment deadlines and transportation all the way to health and safety measures, I am here to manage it all. Think of me as your very own vacation personal assistant.
To get started, it's helpful for me if my clients fill out my Google form for the destination they are interested in visiting. This helps me gather all the information I need to give you a customized proposal with quotes for your specific vacation. Not sure where to begin? You can email me too! When it's time to book your vacation, I send over a booking form to gather your information securely then I book your vacation directly with the host company. It is handled just like if you were to book it yourself, but you have someone else doing it for you!
Payment amounts, deposits, and deadlines are all set by the destination you are booking. Every destination and company has different deposit amounts or final payment dates. When booking your vacation with me you will know all of these numbers and deadlines before you send over any form of payment. I will make sure you know how much your initial deposit is, when final payment is due, and if the company offers any payment plans. When it's time to pay, I send over a booking form to gather your information securely and then I make the approved payment on your behalf directly to the supplier of choice. No payment is ever made without your approval.
As a travel agent I do not get special discounts from suppliers to give my clients. However, I constantly monitor offers and promotions to make sure you are getting the best value for your vacation. Although I do not get discounts for suppliers, travel agents have special relationships with suppliers they work with frequently that may come in handy in other ways regarding your vacation. Such as, we have special phone lines dedicated to just us so if anything needs to be handled in a time crunch we maybe able to address it much faster than you would calling the normal lines. We are also usually given a heads up before promotions are released to the general public so are one step ahead when it comes to booking those promotions for you.
When I make a qualifying booking with a travel supplier such as Disney or Universal, they pay a commission for that booking to my travel agency who then pays me. This commission is not given until after you travel. The amount is already built into the prices set by the travel suppliers so the price will be the same if you book with me, or the supplier directly. The only difference is the supplier keeps that commission for themself.

"We had the most amazing vacation booked with Dara. We took my 14 month old for her first trip and traveling with a baby is a lot to handle. She made it so easy for us. Booking was a breeze! We discussed many different options and because she has travelled with a small child she knew what questions I would have before I had them! She booked us multiple meals so we had options for the restaurants we wanted and just cancelled the ones we didn't want as we got closer. The best thing we received though was her AMAZING Itinerary!!! This was so detailed. Dara was incredibly helpful in planning our trip to Aruba! We wanted to take this trip for our 20th anniversary and we hadn’t been out of the country since our honeymoon.
